Defensive Driving   

The American Safety Council is proud to offer you this online defensive driving course approved by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.

Completion of a New York DMV-approved Point and Insurance Reduction Program (also known as PIRP and defensive driving) provides a 10% reduction, for 3 years, of the motorist's liability, no-fault and collision insurance premiums. Your car insurance discount is awarded on your current policy. You do not have to change your insurer or insurance agent.

If you have a traffic ticket, the benefits are even greater: New York Defensive Driving courses can mean a 4-point reduction on your driving record.
